How to Change the Wi-Fi Password in Windows 7

      Click on the icon for your wireless internet in the Windows 7 taskbar. The icon looks like an escalating series of white bars.

      Right-click on your wireless connection in the window that appears.

      Click "Properties."
    • 4
      Click on the "Security" tab.
    • 5
      Check the box next to "Show characters" under the box labeled Network Security Key.
    • 6
      Highlight the current network security key with your mouse. Press the "Delete" key on your computer.
    • 7
      Type a new password in the box.
    • 8
      Click "Apply." Click "OK" to change the Wi-Fi password for your network in Windows 7.
